- Frost Fayre plans are coming together nicely. The stall is booked and an information leaflet (now in ‘first draft’ and will hopefully include a free prize draw!) is soon to go to the printers. Come and have a word with us on the 14th December if you are at the fayre.
- Local businesses are increasingly backing our campaign – we hope to announce 2 major names supporting our cause very soon!
- Magor With Undy Community Council – have kindly approved a grant of £500 to help with our admin costs. The council are also in the process of arranging a date with Network Rail when they can come and make a presentation on ‘the electrification of the mainline’ and how the upgrade will impact on our communities.
- Welsh Active Travel Law receives royal assent. This was a great piece of news for us as it will help to underpin our plans for Magor and Undy Walkway station. You can read more about it here – http://wales.gov.uk/newsroom/firstminister/2013/8149856/?lang=en
