September update . . .

Just a few items to mention this month –

  • Jane Pratt, County Councillor and Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) Cabinet Member for Infrastructure and Neighbourhood Services, at the September Council meeting, called on Welsh Government to accelerate the provision of a station at Magor. The motion was passed.

  • On  the 15th of September Jessica Morden MP pushes for Magor and Undy station in parliament. Thank you Jessica.

  • Ted and I met Christian Schmidt of MCC for a full review of progress and to agree a short-term plan to keep the pressure on  Welsh Government and its ‘Burns Delivery Group’ so as to deliver Magor & Undy Walkway station as soon as feasible. We would like to see our station be the first of the 6 new stations planned between Cardiff and Severn Tunnel Junction.

  • On the 8th October , Ted and I are meeting Paul Matthews (CEO MCC) and his Chief Officer Enterprise, Frances O’Brien, in site, to apprise them of the latest developments with regard to the station and the associated Community Hub.
