At last, fair weather for the Fayre . . .

Our raffle stall, run jointly with the MUCH group at the May Fayre yesterday, was hugely popular.  Thanks to many generous donations of prizes from our supporters, we made a profit of £246 (plus money taken on the ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ and ‘duck race’ duck sales, yet to be counted).  This will be shared between the MAGOR group and The MUCH group (the Magor and Undy Community Hub) to help with the running costs of the groups.

The winning tickets of the raffle were entered in to the ‘star prize draw’, which was drawn at the end of the day. The winners were –

  • Thomas the Tank Engine Train Set (1) – Sarah Goodman

  • Thomas the Tank Engine Train Set (2) – Matt Chesson

  • Bottle of Brandy – Molly Hughes (parents of)

As usual, the interest in and support of Magor and Undy Walkway station (and the Hub) was overwhelming, with many people signing our ‘on-the day’ petition.

So, a big thank you to everyone!
