Progress update . . .

  • Following on from the productive meeting with Will Wooten of Mott MacDonald (the firm that we hope to use to do our GRIP 1/2 feasibility study), Ted and I  met Andy Scogings at Network Rail’s office in Cardiff, yesterday.  Will had suggested that we give Network Rail a ‘heads up’ so that they can also have an opportunity to input to the study.  We spent a good hour with Andy who gave us a better insight on how his company operates with respect to new stations and some really helpful advice on how to take the whole plan forward. Brilliant! Thanks Andy!

  • We are progressing well with preparations for our ‘Promotional Event‘ to be held on 22nd September, at Monmouthshire County Council’s Innovation Lab, Wales 1 business park, Magor.  The morning will be dedicated to meeting potential sponsors, rail industry and other officials, whilst the afternoon is set aside for the public to come along to find out what is happening.  Just need to chase up some of the invitees for a response and finalise the details for  the day.  Aura Print, the company who are excellent at super large banner printing and produced our existing banner, have been really helpful with producing some promotional vertical banners.

  • Update 14/9/15 – Friday 11th saw the first Village Consultation event held in Undy Church Hall.
We were pleased to be involved in the worthwhile opportunity to inform residents of our campaign.
Thank you for all the positive comments and feed back from those who attended. We will also be at the Magor Baptist Hall for the 2nd Village Consultation on Wed 23rd Sept from 2pm – 7pm
Please pop in and speak to us, we are happy to discuss our aspirations and developments so far.
