Our AGM went very well last Thursday (17th).
Laurence Hando (Chairman) gave a summary of progress during the year. Julie Wilson (Treasurer) confirmed that our bank account is now a healthy ‘fighting fund’. Ted Hand outlined the ‘crowd funding’ approach for raising the big money we need to get the ‘GRIP’ business case process underway (which we agreed to pursue). And I, in my membership secretary role, reported that our membership had grown by 400% to about 230 over the last year.
Peter Wilson was elected to the committee and joins the rest of the team who were re-elected.
We still have 1 or 2 places on the committee, so if you feel you would like to join us please drop a line to us using magorstation@gmail.com or come along to our next committee meeting which is on 14th August, 7.30pm, Golden Lion.
All this against the back-drop of our new banner soon to be displayed in various places around the villages (see below). Our thanks go to the people who turned up and also thanks to Peter, Suzie and Oscar at the Golden Lion for letting us use the Function room.
