Almost a full strength meeting this month!
Here are the key points –
- Frances Taylor gave us a very positive update on her progress with lobbying senior members of Monmouthshire County Council, our MP and and Assembly Member and other people involved in the on-going South Wales Railway studies.
- Ted Hand reported on the success of the ‘Prize Presentations’ at both of our local schools (Undy and Magor CiW) for the naming of our fridge magnet characters. Ted, Frances Taylor, Keith Plow and Jessica Morden (MP) were seriously impressed with the knowledge and enthusiasm shown by the school children.
- I gave a brief report on our participation in the May Fayre – We sold around £50 worth of fridge magnets and signed up another 55 new supporters. This brings our membership up to around 220.
- We then discussed the idea of having a large promotional banner, identified some new funding opportunities, reviewed our annual plan and then finalised the arrangements for the forthcoming AGM which is on –
