May Fayre prize draw, the winner is . . .

Jaqueline Thomas won our May Fayre Prize Draw : 2 First Class GWR tickets. Congratulations! The winning ticket (No. 60) was drawn by Oscar Brown, manager at the Golden Lion.  The tickets will be presented to Jaqueline at our next monthly meeting on 19th May at the Lion.

We sold about 140 tickets for the Prize Draw and around 40 prizes were won on the ‘bottle store.  All in all, we netted £186, which was fantastic and helps to keep our fighting fund topped up!   So a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who supported us on the day.  Incidentally, in chatting to people it was quite noticeable this year that people were well aware of the campaign, rather than asking us what it was all about.  People were very optimistic and were wishing us well.  ‘Keep at it!’ they said.  And we will!!
