Crowfunder campaign completed but unfortunately . . .

A big thank you to all of you that supported the campaign, by ‘pledging’, to raise money towards the feasibility study. Unfortunately we did not reach our target of £20,000.

We did however achieve a total pledged amount of just over £4000 from almost 100 pledges.  I am sure you will agree that this is a pretty good show against what what was a very ambitious target.  In line with the Crowdfunder rules, this money will not be collected because we did not reach our target.  However, we will shortly write to all of the people who pledged to express our thanks and ask how they feel they can continue to support our aims.

We do know that the campaign significantly increased the profile of the Group.  For example, there were 2500 ‘views’ of the project on Crowdfunder, 328 ‘likes‘ on our Facebook page and 3500 ‘views’ on RailUKforum and a number of items in the local press. We just did not turn the huge interest and support into cash.  Clearly the Group has its own thoughts as to why this might be but we would really like to have your views, opinions and ideas as we consider how to take the campaign forward.  You can do this on our Feedback page by clicking – here

Many thanks to everyone who supports the campaign – we are not downhearted and will continue the fight!
